5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS TOUR

Day 1: ARRIVE IN KHARTOUM

Arrive in Khartoum, meet Bambu representative and you’ll be transferred to your staying local hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 2: FULL DAY NAGAA & MASSAWARAT TEMPLES

Morning after breakfast, drive to Nagaa and Masawarat to visit the archeological sites and temples. Lunch break and drive to Shendi to visit the famous market. Dinner and overnight in Shendi. O/N Shendi local hotel.

Day 3: FULL DAY MEROE

Morning after breakfast, drive to Meroe to visit the pyramids of the Royal Necropolis of Meroe standing on a hill, with more than 40 pyramids, some of them in perfectly preserved condition. The Necropolis and the Royal City of Meroe is located about 3 kms from the Nile on some hills covered with yellow sand dunes. Lunch break en route and afterwards drive to Sabaloga to visit the cataract of the Blue Nile. Boat trip and drive back to Khartoum for dinner and overnight. OVN Khartoum local Hotel.

Day 4: FULL DAY KHARTOUM AND OMDURMAN CITY TOUR

Morning after breakfast, visit the city of Khartoum as well as the Morgan Park to see the wonderful meeting of the White Nile and Blue Nile merging together where the mysterious Nile emerges from the deserts heading northward to Egyptand drive to Omdurman for city tour in the morning, visit the former capital of Sudan as well as the market of Omdurman, visit the Mahdi tomb museum; From 1881-85, Muhammad Ahmed Al Mahdi, or The Mahdi, led a successful military campaign against the Ottoman-Egyptian government of the Sudan which resulted in the conquest of Khartoum.

Lunch break at the beautiful view for the Nile, visit the national museum of archaeology representing the remarkable UNESCO endeavor to rescue Nubian antiquity from Aswan dam flooding; whole temples and tombs were moved hundreds of miles to Khartoum to be reconstructed at the Sudan National Museum. Some of these archaeological remains, almost perfectly preserved, date back nearly four thousand years while the Christian frescoes on display represent the richest collection discovered so far in the Nile Valley. Promenade on the Nile and back to hotel for dinner and overnight in Khartoum local Hotel.

Day 5: LEISURE DAY AT THE HOTEL – AIRPORT TRANSFER

Leisure day at the hotel and airport transfer according to your flight departure. End of tour.
